Primal Mastery
Last week, in the middle of winter—when the cold cuts sharper and the wind tests your patience—we decided to do something completely out of the ordinary. We went axe throwing. Not exactly the most obvious choice on a snowy, windy day, but that alone made the experience at Primal Mastery unforgettable from the very beginning. Sometimes, the best memories are made when conditions aren’t perfect, and this was one of those days where everything worked because it wasn’t easy.

From the moment we arrived, the warmth of the team immediately stood in contrast to the winter weather. Despite the cold, the experience felt welcoming, safe, and surprisingly relaxed. The instructors took the time to walk us through everything patiently, making sure even first-timers felt comfortable and confident. There was no pressure to get it right straight away—just clear guidance, encouragement after every missed throw, and genuine celebration of even the smallest wins. That kind of atmosphere changes everything. It turns an intimidating activity into something empowering and fun.
A special mention has to go to Elliot, our instructor, whose calm presence and clear explanations made such a difference. Axe throwing, as it turns out, is all about timing, focus, and trying again—and that lesson stayed with us long after the session ended. Every missed target was met with encouragement, every successful throw with shared excitement. It became less about competition and more about connection—laughing together, learning together, and letting go of the stress we all carried into the day.

By the end, we left with numb fingers but very warm memories, the kind you talk about long after the day is over.
The weather, harsh as it was, somehow made the experience even more memorable. Cold hands, flushed cheeks, and bursts of laughter cutting through the wind—it felt raw and real in the best way. By the end, we left with numb fingers but very warm memories, the kind you talk about long after the day is over. It was the perfect setting for team bonding, reminding us how powerful shared experiences can be when everyone feels supported and included.
Primal Mastery offers more than just an activity—it offers an experience shaped by professionalism, patience, and genuine care for the people who walk through their doors. Whether you’re looking for a team activity, a confidence-boosting challenge, or simply something different to try, this is absolutely worth it. We’d go back in a heartbeat—preferably with better weather next time, but honestly, even if the winter follows us again, it would still be worth showing up.
